I’m Em, a Senior Post Producer, Writer, Director and Editor with 20 plus years’ experience across broadcast, production and post. ​

 

I spent the first decade of my career in short-form storytelling and cut my teeth writing, directing and producing award-winning creative campaigns, promos and TVCs for Australian and international audiences. I had a whale of a time, picked up a handy arsenal of skills, but then found myself craving something meatier to sink my creative chops into. ​

 

The TV gods answered my call one fateful day when an extremely stressed and understaffed Executive Producer rolled the dice and threw me my first episode of reality television to post produce. It was trial by fire but I loved every minute of it. ​

 

From there, I permanently made the jump from story-selling to storytelling. The second half of my career has seen me post produce long-form television across factual, reality, comedy and all the fun bitsy stuff in between. ​

 

Launching new formats and nailing episode ones has become my specialty. There’s nothing quite like staring down a blank timeline, a mountain of footage and a looming network delivery, then somehow making the whole thing sing. 

 

I’m drawn to working with creative leaders and teams who have guts, vision, heart, and humour. People who know how to drive the work without losing sight of the humans making it.
